In the 15 years Azuni has been designing and making , we have always strived to make a great quality jewellery product at a reasonable price, and to use the best available materials available often going to painstaking lengths to source a special bead or stone . Our first collections were made in collaboration with indigenous Mayan people in Central America on a fair trade basis where we produced some of the highest quality woven beaded jewellery ever seen on the fashion arena.
As our ranges developed and we started using different materials, the company moved production to the UK and our first silver collection was born. Manufacturing in the UK allowed us to control all aspects of the production process, and Azuni's customer base increased by over 300% in two years, which in turn allowed us to launch several new collections including our menswear ranges.
All collections begin their life with a storyboard and research phase, where we look for future trends and combinations of colour or materials which will set the ranges apart from other brands in the marketplace. Once a theme and the initial ideas have been decided upon, the sampling process begins and we make up a number of initial samples to test for wearability, cost and appearance.
Once a design has been approved the next phase is the development of each individual piece within a collection, such as bracelets, earrings necklaces ect. Once each piece has been finalised, initial production begins, and the process of introducing the new merchandise to our customers begins, either face to face in their shops, or at the trade shows we regularly attend.
We're currently finalising 4 new collections for 2010, and this Autumn has seen the very successful introduction of the 'Athena' collection, now shown on the shop section of the site.
We always look for feedback from our customers, so if you have any queries or suggestions please feel free to contact us.
